The lands surrounding Sandy Lake are held by public and private land holders. Public lands include the existing Jack Lake Regional Park including the Bedford Lions Club Beach on Sandy Lake. Private lands include year-round and seasonal residences, privately owned forested lands, and a day school, Sandy Lake Academy.
